Capture of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's HTV-8 cargo vehicle occured while both the station and HTV-8 were orbiting 262 miles over the south African country of Angola at 7:12am ET this morning. | International Space Station

NASA: The H-II Transfer Vehicle-8 (HTV-8) cargo ship will deliver science experiments and supplies to the orbiting laboratory, as well as six new lithium-ion batteries and corresponding adapter plates that will replace aging nickel-hydrogen batteries for two power channels on the station’s far port truss segment.
