The NCTC pair have been arranging sticks and mating in the nest. This video shows the eagles interacting with new nesting material. The nest looks great with new grass lining and lots of nice woven stick work. Two to three eggs are usually laid in February around Valentine’s Day. Video by C. Bald Eagle Mating Session. Tis the season for eagles to start their mating rituals here in New York. They will lay eggs toward the end of February and hatch sometime around April. They will then take their first flights around early July and will stick around the nesting area until around the end of the summer and then they are on their own. | Mike Lemery Films
