This week I have diagnosed a case of White Muscle Disease in some fast growing 3 week old Aussie White X lambs. The signs are a stiff legged gait or they are unable to stand. The disease is caused by a Selenium deficiency. Selenium is an essential nutrient for animal health but it is not required by plants.
