Our Marine Mammal Rescue and Whale Protection Units collaborated with Straitwatch (Cetus Research & Conservation Society) to free a humpback whale entangled in fishing gear near Comox B.C., last week. The team was able to secure a satellite tag to the trailing gear to follow the whale’s path from a distance.
