Unveiling the V.E. Day 80th Anniversary bench on Arundel Town Quay this morning. The wooden section of the bench was deliberately very basic as this section is secondary. The two concrete bases, two of the last known anti-tank buoys in the parish, are the key parts of the bench. These would have been lined up along the pavement on the bridge, (Along with 23 others) ready to be moved into the road to block vehicles should, as expected, the Germans invaded Britain and landed on Littlehampton beach
