🔌🌡️ Thousands of people were without power on Monday in New York City as extreme heat envelopes the northeast, and Con Edison had crews working quickly to try and restore electricity for thousands. Nearly 10,000 people experienced an outage in Queens near the Long Island border, while thousands more saw outages in the Bronx and on Staten Island. 1010 WINS spoke with residents struggling with their power, and what the outage meant for them amid the heat. 🔊 Mary-Lyn Buckley reports: | 1010 WINS
