Russia claimed it damaged ground infrastructure of one of the largest natural gas storage sites in Ukraine’s Lviv region during a series of attacks on the country’s energy sector on Wednesday.

The Russian military attacked the most extensive underground gas storage facilities in the Lviv region. The timing and location of the attack are not coincidental. Ukraine had sought Poland's assistance to protect these installations.

Ukraine fired six British Storm Shadows and six US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles during its largest aerial bombardment of Russia in the war so far, Ukrainian and Russian officials have said.

Russia's military on Tuesday said it would retaliate against Ukraine after Kyiv attacked Russian regions by firing six U.S.-made ATACMS ballistic missiles, six UK-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles and launching one of the biggest drone attacks to date.

Ukrainian forces carried out a massive drone barrage targeting military assets in Russia. As part of its larger campaign to thwart Moscow’s advances, Kyiv launched more than 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) along with American-made Storm Shadow missiles and Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS).
