The Philadelphia Eagles face the New York Jets in an NFL preseason game on Friday, August 22, 2025 (8/22/25) at MetLife Stadium.
Ross Tucker bashed the Chiefs, claiming that he believes the final score of their Super Bowl LIX loss to the Eagles should have been 40-6.
Last night, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Antwaun Powell-Ryland, who played for the Hokies in 2023 and 2024, put on an impressive showing for Philadelphia. The second-year edge rusher recorded a tackle, a sack, and a forced fumble, helping the Eagles narrowly supplant the Jets, 19-17, despite a 14-point fourth-quarter rally from New York.
Sixth-round rookie Kyle McCord had a rough performance against New York’s defense. He only completed 15 of his 35 passes (42% completion percentage) and was picked off by Jets safety Malachi Moore. McCord made a poor decision. He launched the ball into double coverage over Darius Cooper’s head and it fell right into Moore’s hands.
John Metchie III made his preseason debut with the Eagles, getting his first reception in the first quarter against the Jets on Friday.
Moore sure made Glenn look correct on Friday during the Jets' preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles won 19-17 but Moore was all over the field with seven tackles, an interception, tackle for loss, and big play on special teams with a quick take down on punt coverage. All of that came in just the first half.
