Although the 2024 transfer portal window doesn't officially open until Monday, Dec. 9, college football has already seen numerous reports of signal-callers across the country intending to enter the portal.

Cross Miller Moss off the prospect list for the 2025 NFL Draft, at least for now. The USC quarterback has entered the transfer portal after one season at the helm for the Trojans.

Miller Moss left USC football on Monday morning. The Trojan quarterback declared his intent to enter the transfer portal and seek another place to play college football in 2025. It is an unfortunate end to Moss's USC career, but it also represents a decision we all anticipated once Moss was benched for Jayden Maiava by Lincoln Riley.

Miller Moss is officially leaving USC. So, where will the former Trojan land as suitors from around the country enter the Moss sweepstakes?

The best fit for Miller Moss might be the Michigan football team. The Wolverines are bringing in Bryce Underwood, the top player in the 2025 recruiting class, but they might not want him to start right away. Moss might be the perfect candidate to show Underwood the ropes while still allowing the youngster to get meaningful experience as a freshman.

USC QB Miller Moss will hit the portal when it opens on Dec. 9 and is expected to be one of the most high-profile transfers this offseason.

Moss made his first career start in the Holiday Bowl last December and threw six touchdown passes in the Trojans’ 42-28 win over Louisville. Maiava joined the program in January but Moss held him off and was named the full-time starter in August.

Michigan has already had one linebacker enter the transfer portal, being special teams ace Christian Boivin. But once the portal opened up, the Wolverines had their second linebacker enter the portal.
