Most exit polls have predicted a victory for the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, but two pollsters expect hung assembly. The BJP-led NDA is expected to win the Jharkhand assembly elections, most exit polls say.

While the Mahayuti is leading in over 200 seats, the BJP, which fielded 149 candidates, is ahead in 125. On the other hand, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is leading in only 60 seats.

In the 81-seat Jharkhand assembly, Chief Minister Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is leading in 30 seats while its ally Congress in 14. The opposition BJP is ahead in 27 seats while the AJSU Party, LJP (Ram Vilas) and JD (U) were ahead in one seat each in the tribal-dominated state.

Counting of votes for the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024 will begin at 8 am and early trends are expected to start coming in soon after. Voting for Maharashtra polls took place on November 20 on all 288 seats.
