PROVIDENCE, R.I. — An Atlanta man has pleaded guilty in federal court in Rhode Island for his role in a Publishers Clearing House scam that targeted senior citizens across multiple states.
Victims were told they had won large sums of money, often millions of dollars, in a PCH lottery or sweepstakes.
The victims sent cash, money orders and checks to various addresses in Connecticut and throughout the U.S., authorities said.
