Wegmans 114 stores nationwide raised nearly $3.1 million as part of its recent Check Out Hunger scanning campaign

Whole Foods Market in Brighton will be open until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day and reopen at 8 a.m. Dec. 26. It will be open during regular hours (8 a.m. to 9 p.m.) on New Year’s Eve and reopen at 9 a.m. (instead of 8 a.m.) New Year’s Day.

Foodlink and Wegmans have announced record-breaking year for the annual Check Out Hunger campaign thanks to the generosity of thousands of local shoppers.

The Trader Joe's in Ithaca located at 744 S Meadow St. was inspected twice, once on Nov. 15, 2023, and again on Aug. 12, 2024. The store received an "A" grade from the state inspectors on both occasions. The Walmart in Ithaca located at 135 Fairgrounds Memorial Pkwy. was inspected three times.

Customers across Wegmans Food Markets’ 114 stores contributed nearly $3.1 million during the company’s 2025 fall Check Out Hunger campaign — an increase of $570,000 over 2024.

Douglas Jemal sold Wegmans property to Benderson for $7.03 million. Jemal is exiting Amherst to focus on downtown Buffalo projects.
