Coming into the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday, the biggest talking point was what quarterbacks would go where, this after Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart were the only two signal-callers selected and Shedeur Sanders slid out of the first round Thursday night.

After a 5-12 finish last season and hiring Kellen Moore away from the Philadelphia Eagles as Dennis Allen's successor, the Saints opened the draft by picking offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. ninth overall and quarterback Tyler Shough 40th overall. They have seven picks left.

A third quarterback has been selected at the NFL draft and, no, it was not Shedeur Sanders. Instead, the New Orleans Saints selected Tyler Shough, the 25-year-old from Louisville, continuing the major slide for Sanders.
