Yankees pitcher Marcus Stroman, who was placed on the injured list Saturday, had a cortisone shot to treat swelling in his inflamed left knee.

The New York Yankees put right-hander Marcus Stroman (left knee inflammation) on the 15-day injured list on Saturday ahead of their home game against the San Francisco Giants.

Jung Hoo Lee hit a three-run homer and LaMonte Wade Jr. a two-run double in the first inning as the Giants won for the ninth time in 11 games. The game was played on a cold night with rain throughout and was called in the top of the sixth inning after conditions deteriorated.
