The final episode of Netflix's new conspiracy thriller The Madness sums up the show's theme in one sentence: "If you stir up the madness of the world, then that madness will eventually come back to bite you.

Colman Domingo delivers a modern-day "The Fugitive"-style paranoid thriller with Netflix's new limited series "The Madness." The "Rustin" and "Euphoria" star takes on the role of Muncie Daniels, a lauded CNN commentator who finds his spotlight turned against him when he stumbles onto the dead body of a high-profile white supremacist and winds up getting framed for the crime.

There’s just one problem: while Domingo acquits himself just fine as an increasingly frenzied man on the lam, “The Madness” itself is a schlocky mess, its pulpy appeal dimmed by a drawn-out runtime and attempts at social commentary that fail to find their mark.

Apologies to star Colman Domingo, but the ever-changing villains, dated takes on politics and nonsensical set up make this show just about unwatchable.
