Kyle Lowry will return to his hometown team for his 20th NBA season. The Sixers have signed the North Philadelphia native to a one-year deal on Monday.

Lowry, now 39, isn’t expected to carry a heavy load on the court. He’s here to guide the next generation. All-Star Tyrese Maxey leads that group, alongside young guards Jared McCain and VJ Edgecombe. The Sixers also expect Quentin Grimes to return once they finalize a deal with the restricted free agent.
