Mikaela Shiffrin suffered an abrasion near her hip and said there was "not really too much cause for concern" after crashing at an Alpine skiing World Cup giant slalom in Killington, Vermont, on Saturday.

Shiffrin, World Cup skiing's all-time wins leader, was in first place after the first run but ended the second in a ski patrol sled. Her condition and status for Sunday's slalom were unknown.

Mikaela Shiffrin's dreams of reaching 100 World Cup wins look to be on hold for now as the skier crashed out in dramatic fashion at the Killington cup over the weekend. The 29-year-old was on her second run at the Stifel Killington Cup in Vermont after taking the lead in her first attempt.
