Dozens of flood warnings and alerts remain in place across England on Sunday as disruption from Storm Bert continues in many parts of the UK. A man in his 60s died on Saturday after a tree hit his car near Winchester, while a number of homes were flooded in counties Down and Tyrone in Northern Ireland.

Heavy rain and thawing snow are combining to bring flooding across the UK as Storm Bert continues to batter the country.

Storm Bert battered Britain with snow, rain and strong winds on Saturday, killing one person and closing several railway lines, bridges and roads. The storm also hit Ireland, flooding roads in the west and cutting power to tens of thousands of customers.
