A man shot in October during a robbery outside a St. Paul bar died on Tuesday. Before his death, Oscar Covington told police he believed he was set up after the bartender saw he was carrying a large amount of cash.

A man who was shot on Oct. 30 has died of his injuries, according to St. Paul police. Oscar Lee Covington, 42, died on Tuesday at Regions Hospital, police said. Officers responded to the 800 block of Rice Street around 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 30. There, they found Covington with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was brought to the hospital.

A customer who was shot outside a bar on St. Paul 's North End last month was watched and targeted before a violent robbery, according to criminal charges filed against the establishment's bartender and a man allegedly involved in the attack.
