Earlier today, Nintendo issued an apology when interest in the Japanese preorder far exceeded the available supply. In Japan alone, Nintendo said that 2.2 million people applied to preorder the Switch 2 from the My Nintendo Store lottery. That doesn't bode well for American gamers, unfortunately.

Nintendo has warned customers who made pre-orders that they might not get their orders before the launch of Switch 2 due to strong demand.
