The American Express heads to a second day in the California desert. The third event on the PGA Tour's 2025 schedule is the first tournament on the mainland. There are 156 players in the field and they each will play the three golf courses once over the first three days.

J.T. Poston shot a 10-under 62 to take a one-stroke lead over Justin Lower in the opening round of The American Express on Thursday.
