Lando Norris said his first home victory at the British Grand Prix was "pure joy, pure emotion". The McLaren driver beat team-mate Oscar Piastri, inheriting the lead after the Australian was given a 10-second penalty for his driving before a safety-car restart.

Lando Norris won a partially wet and turbulent British home Grand Prix on Sunday, but German veteran Nico Hülkenberg somewhat stole the show with a first career podium in third in his 239th career race and from 19th on the grid.

Lando Norris was accidentally struck in the face by a photographer while celebrating his Formula 1 British Grand Prix victory at Silverstone on Sunday. The Brit kept his cool in chaotic, wet conditions and benefitted from an Oscar Piastri penalty and Max Verstappen spin to win his home race in front of his ecstatic fans.
