Fresh skirmishes resulted in 12 fatalities and 18 injuries, with gunfire reported in both upper and lower parts of the district, according to local officials. The conflict originally erupted last week when a convoy of passenger vehicles was attacked in Lower Kurram, leaving more than 40 dead, reported by Dawn.
