Why Knicks veteran Josh Hart nearly ignored a phone call from his new Knicks head coach, Mike Brown, during the summer.

During a recent episode of The Roommates Show with teammate Jalen Brunson, Hart recalled his first interaction with the Knicks’ new coach. “I was with the family and everybody, and we’re all at dinner, and I see a phone call,” he began.

Josh Hart underwent a procedure on his right ring finger to deal with an injury he suffered during the playoffs, the Knicks announced Wednesday. The New York star isn’t expected to miss any time next season. “He will resume basketball activities later in the summer,” the team said as part of a statement.
