In an interview with KHON-TV on Monday, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green discussed the upcoming demolition and rebuilding of Hawaii's premier athletic venue, which needs some collaborative funding. Green specified the hope to bring NFL games back to the Hawaiian Islands and said he was going to be having a conversation with the San Francisco 49ers.

Two plays later, history was made. With former Hawaii legend Jason Elam in the broadcast booth to witness, kicker Kansei Matsuzawa, the Tokyo Toe, broke Elam’s record for the most consecutive field goals in-a-row with 21. A pretty cool scene to witness.

The Hawaii football team can become bowl eligible today with a third consecutive victory in Mountain West Conference play. The Rainbow Warriors (5-2, 2-1) take on Colorado State (2-4, 1-1) at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colo.
