Infighting has upended the city council of a third Portland suburb this fall. This time it’s the small city of North Plains in Washington County, where a city councilor resigned Monday saying the elected volunteers failed to work collaboratively, sowing distrust.

City Councilors eye Portland ‘weapon shipments to Israel’
In a largely symbolic action, the four self-described socialists on the Portland City Council held a press conference pledging to investigate local weapon shipments to Israel and urged other cities to join.
The Portland City Council shot down the jetport's latest expansion proposal on Monday night. For more than a year, the jetport has been working on a plan to expand the number of spaces. This proposal would have built 265 new parking spots.
Portland City Council approved a $300,000 settlement on Wednesday for a man who says he was wrongfully convicted.
The plans call for the paving of new surface lots to accommodate a growing number of travelers who park their cars at the Portland International Jetport for longer periods of time. It would add a net total of 265 parking spaces.

Man imprisoned for false OD death to receive $300K settlement from Portland
Eleven out of 12 Portland City Councilors voted to pay a $300,000 settlement to Adam Gregg, a man who went to prison over a drug overdose death that never happened. Gregg spent five and a half years after he pleaded guilty to selling heroin that killed someone.
