The Gallup poll — which sampled 1,001 U.S. adults between Jan. 21 and Jan. 27 — found opinions toward the men have fluctuated significantly over time.

Both are in negative territory. But it’s better to be Trump than Biden. Trump has a 48% to 50% for a negative two percentage points, compared to Biden’s negative 18 points (39% to 57%). Otherwise, it’s George W. Bush 52% to 34% favorable/unfavorable (+18) and Bill Clinton 48% to 41% (+7).

A recent Gallup survey finds that among the five living U.S. presidents, Barack Obama is the most popular, with a 59% favorability rating, while Joe Biden ranks lowest at 39%. George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are viewed more positively than negatively, while Donald Trump’s ratings remain split.

A new Gallup survey conducted the week following Trump’s inauguration found Obama, Bush and Clinton all above water.

A Gallup poll conducted last month showed that former President Joe Biden is viewed unfavorably by 57% of those surveyed, the New York Post reported. Just 39% had favorable views of Biden, who left office earlier this year after one term in the White House.
