Game Recap: Suns take down Lakers in preseason finale, 113-104
The Phoenix Suns were a bit jet-lagged, it first appeared. Those who played certainly were not. Several key members sat out for the preseason finale against the Lakers. Player Grades: Lakers vs. Suns
The Lakers gave up a 15-point lead and lost to the Suns 113-104 in preseason play. To lose when Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves combined for 50 points and the Suns played none of their rotation guys since they just returned from China is not good.
A mock trade has the Phoenix Suns sending Nick Richards and Royce O'Neale to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a 24-year-old forward.
Per a Suns press release, Phoenix has cut veteran guard Jared Butler — despite Butler's 35-point, nine-assist, seven-rebound night against a depleted Los Angeles Lakers squad in a 113-104 victory on Wednesday. The Suns also requested waivers on guard David Duke Jr.
The Phoenix Suns will get a somewhat complete opposing Los Angeles Lakers roster for their final preseason tuneup on Tuesday.

The Lakers weren’t expecting a Shaquille O’Neal-style debut from DeAndre Ayton, but expectations for the new center were still high last night. Sadly, his numbers weren’t impressive, and to make things worse,
