Kansas State’s best ranking is 40 in ESPN’s Football Power Index, an increase of three spots from last week. The Wildcats’ worst ranking is 64 in The Athletic’s rankings of all 136 FBS teams. Last week, K-State also was 64 in The Athletic rankings.

For the first time since 2009, Kansas enters the rivalry matchup with K-State as the favorite. The Jayhawks look to end a 16-game losing streak in the series and capture their first win since 2008. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

Kansas State owns a 26-4 record against the Jayhawks dating back to 1995 and the Wildcats are currently on a 16-year winning streak against KU. The last time Kansas beat K-State was in 2008 under former head coach Mark Mangino. It was the fourth win in five years against KSU, as the Mangino-led Jayhawks also won in 2004, 2006, and 2007.

For the next few days, they will follow Klieman and many other members of the K-State roster around campus to film a mini-documentary about the Wildcats, which will air at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday as a precursor to the Sunflower Showdown in Lawrence on TNT.
