Gearing up for his return to the ring next year, undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has a new challenger awaiting his comeback to boxing. Widely expected to unify the WBO title against Fabio Wardley off the back of his shock knockout win over Joseph Parker, Ukrainian force Oleksandr Usyk has yet to land a date for his comeback.
As first reported by Darshan Desai, the sanctioning body has set purse bids for November 13. The victor will become mandatory challenger for Usyk, who still holds all four belts. Next up in the agreed rotation is the WBO, meaning Interim Champion Fabio Wardley is first in line for his shot.
A Fury-Joshua fight appeared to be close four years ago.
