Emergency crews rushed to Richmond Terrace on Staten Island after a major fire and reported explosions triggered a large-scale FDNY response

The deadly fire, on E. 187th St. near Belmont Ave. in Belmont, began around 1:30 p.m. and quickly spread to multiple floors at the top of the five-story building.

Chopper 2 was over the blaze at the Reformed Church of Astoria on 12th Street, between Astoria Boulevard and 27th Avenue.
