Cheyenne, Wyo. - Extreme fire danger concerns will impact portions of southeast Wyoming today, including the Cheyenne area. The National Weather Service has issued a Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Red Flag Warning until 5 AM Saturday for portions of southeast Wyoming, including Laramie County.

High winds have been toppling trailers on Wyoming highways today, causing the Wyoming Highway Patrol to issue a warning and close some roads.
The wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming can expect wind gusts exceeding 80 mph. A few gusts between 90 and 100 mph are possible. Cheyenne, Laramie, Rawlins, Wheatland, and Douglas can expect gusts of 65 to 75 mph. Remaining areas of the High Plains can expect gusts between 55 and 65 mph, mainly during the day Tuesday.
Winds as high as 105 mph were recorded on Tuesday, and most of I-80 and I-25 were closed to high-profile vehicles because of gusting winds.
