As of Dec. 8, there are 28 teams and 22 scheduled games featuring Hawaii natives going into Bowl week and first-round college football playoff games. First-round CFP and Bowl games are scheduled, starting from Dec. 13, 2025, to Jan. 20, 2026.

Temple is denying a report that they turned down an invitation to the Birmingham Bowl. On3’s Brett McMurphy reported on Sunday that the Owls were among the seven teams that were invited to fill the spot, but declined the bid. On Monday, Temple put out a statement that refuted that claim:
