Amazon is just the latest company picking a celebrity for NBA theme music. NBC tapped Lenny Kravitz to perform the opening music for its upcoming Sunday Night Basketball programming, similar to how Carrie Underwood is the performer for “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” for the network’s Sunday Night Football.

Kravitz’s anthem will debut in full ahead of the Sunday Night Basketball doubleheader premiere on Sunday, February 1, 2026, featuring the Lakers at the New York Knicks at 7:00 p.m. ET and the Thunder at the Denver Nuggets at 9:30 p.m. ET, both on NBC and Peacock.
