There is good news tonight for NBA fans across the country. In an interview with NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico, basketball legend Michael Jordan opens up about life after his retirement more than two decades ago.
Michael Jordan revealed on Tuesday night just before the start of the 2025-26 NBA season that he no longer plays basketball -- not even occasionally in a random gym or driveway.
"In all honesty, I wish I could take a magic pill, put on shorts and go out and play the game of basketball today," Jordan revealed during his chat with NBC presenter Mike Tirico. "That type of competition, that type of competitiveness is what I live for. And I miss it."
