A new study says Alaska, which has 34,000 miles of shoreline, is the best state in the country for fishing, followed by Hawaii and Louisiana.

Of all the world’s trout and salmon fisheries, none hold a fly rod to Bristol Bay, Alaska. It sits at the eastern most arm of the Bering Sea and is 250 miles long and 180 miles wide at its mouth.
