Julia Roberts, Lily Gladstone, Wilson Cruz and Peppermint will participate in next month’s "Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment,” organized by the Jane Fonda-led Committee for the First Amendment.

The first event, Flag Day: Liberty and Justice for All, will take place at 1 p.m. June 14 at Big Thunder Park, 699 Van Buren St. in Belvidere. The celebration will feature music, a rally, a march, and hands-on activities such as postcard writing and art projects, according to a community announcement.

"Right now, the government and its cronies [are] routinely violating its First Amendment to silence artists," she said at Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment in New York.
