Though his first start against New York was “ugly,” in his words, Crochet dominated the Yankees when they visited Boston in mid-June; he nearly pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out Aaron Judge three times before Judge crushed a ninth-inning solo homer.

It’s been a crappy start to the weekend. The Yankees lost on Thursday because the pitching couldn’t hold it together, and lost last night because the offense couldn’t manage much of anything. The bare minimum for this four-game series is a split, but they’ll have to try and get that against a Cy Young contender.
