Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham came to Caitlin Clark's defense earlier this season in a physical game against the Connecticut Sun, and she defended the second-year superstar off the court, too.

Caitlin Clark has emerged as one of the biggest stars in the WNBA through her first two seasons, but some argue that she hasn't reached face of the league status.

The WNBA made waves during All-Star Weekend when the players took the floor ahead of the July 19 game wearing shirts that read, "Pay Us What You Owe Us." It was a loud message sent to the league in reference to the ongoing collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

Former WNBA star and current TNT Sports analyst/commentator Candace Parker believes WNBA players should have given a greater effort in the All-Star Game, especially after they wore "Pay Us What You Owe Us" shirts amid their ongoing negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement (h/t <a href=" West of The Athletic).

"Y'all cannot come out there with those shirts of 'Pay Us What You Owe Us,' and then do that in the All-Star Game," Parker said.
