WASHINGTON (Reuters) -President Donald Trump on Monday will sign an executive order terminating U.S. sanctions on Syria, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters. The move follows through on Trump's decision in May to unwind the measures to help Syria rebuild after a devastating civil war.

The White House said it would monitor the new Syrian government's actions including "taking concrete steps toward normalising ties with Israel"
