An active shooter incident occurred at Fort Stewart, Georgia, on Wednesday morning, according to Army authorities.

Parts of the Fort Stewart in southeast Georgia were locked down Wednesday after an active shooter was reported on the sprawling Army post, a spokesperson said.

The conditions of the soldiers and the circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately clear, nor was the identity of the shooter.
