Typhoo is poised to be taken over by a disposable vape company after the tea company collapsed into administration. Supreme, which sells e-cigarette brands 88Vape and Elfbar in the UK, on Thursday confirmed it was in talks to buy one of Britain’s oldest tea companies.

Typhoo Tea has collapsed into administration in a move that has put more than 100 jobs at risk, it has been confirmed.

Typhoo Tea filed a notice to appoint administrators on Wednesday (27 November). The collapse comes after years of declining sales, rising debts and challenges such as a break-in at its Wirral factory last year.
