A woman was sitting on her porch drinking coffee when she found out she won a huge Powerball prize. The Madison County woman was running errands when she stopped at a store in Huntsville and bought two Powerball tickets for the Oct. 13 drawing, according to an Oct. 22 news release from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Edwin Castro of Altadena, California, who won $2.04 billion Powerball lottery Nov. 7, 2022, opted for the lump sum, which was just shy of $1 billion.

A 45-year-old Wyandotte woman used artificial intelligence to pick winning Powerball numbers, earning her a $100,000 prize from the Michigan Lottery.

Just, wow. Three million-dollar-winning Powerball tickets were sold in New York for the most recent drawing on Monday, according to lottery officials. All three of them were sold at the same Yonkers gas station.

If nobody comes forward to claim the $50,000, the money goes back to the state for distribution to cities and towns. Prizes of up to $103,000 can be claimed at Lottery claim centers in Braintree, Dorchester, Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield and Worcester.
