In a statement, Matt McGloin cited family reasons for leaving his position as an offensive analyst for Bill O'Brien's Boston College Eagles.

McGloin, 35, was elected to the Lackawanna (Pa.) County Board of Commissioners in November of 2023. He earned his term in January last year but resigned last week, likely to start his job with the Eagles. With McGloin's family located in Pennsylvania, it could have been that it was not the right time for McGloin to be in Boston.

Former Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin has resigned from his analyst position at Boston College after only a few days on the job. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported early Wednesday morning that McGloin has resigned due to family reasons.
