For many of the Rebels, it was their last ever home game. Ole Miss has over 30 seniors who took in their final home action. While the season isn't over by any means, their time in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium has come to an end.

The Ole Miss defense ended the game with three sacks, eight TFLs, five pass deflections, and two interceptions, giving the Bulldogs a hard time as they also kept the rushing attack to just 39 total yards on the day along with Van Buren’s completion percentage to a mere 53 percent.

The Bulldogs do appear to have found their quarterback for the future, as Van Buren stood toe-to-toe with the nationally ranked Ole Miss defense and kept the Bulldogs in the game for four quarters. The freshman finished with 280 yards passing and one touchdown, along with a handful of big plays.
