Former Oklahoma State linebacker Nick Martin is moving on to the NFL after a standout career with the Cowboys. The San Francisco 49ers selected Martin with the 11th pick in the third round of the NFL draft. Martin is a Texas native, having played his high school ball for Pleasant Grove in Texarkana.

The Oklahoma Sooners didn't have a player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. But their offensive coordinator did. Ben Arbuckle helped Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, to two productive seasons at Washington State before finishing his career in Miami.
