“Moana 2” smashed records as Disney’s top Thanksgiving animation debut, as well as the biggest animated debut of all time.

Moana 2” sailed to the top of the box office over the long Thanksgiving weekend, giving Disney yet another record-shattering opening for an animated film.

The three movies brought in a combined $420 million to the box office during Thanksgiving weekend — surpassing the previous record of $315.6 million from 2018, when “Creed II,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” were all in theaters.
