Inter Miami announced the rescheduling of its MLS match against the Chicago Fire due to its qualification for the final stages of the Leagues Cup.

Without their star Argentine playmaker, Inter Miami made use of home-field advantage and beat Tigres 2-1 in their Leagues Cup quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday. Lionel Messi had a knock and couldn't play in the pivotal match, with Luis Suarez being supported by three attacking midfielders in Rodrigo De Paul, Tadeo Allende and Telasco Segovia.

Lionel Messi, who returned from a hamstring injury to lead Inter Miami to victory against the Los Angeles Galaxy last weekend, was not at training on Tuesday morning. His status for Wednesday’s Leagues Cup quarterfinal against Tigres is unknown. Coach Javier Mascherano is expected to provide an update at a pre-game media conference after training.
