“Yellowstone” actor Ian Bohen has opened up about Kevin Costner’s shock exit from the hit series, saying the cast and crew lost its “quarterback.” Costner, 69, played John Dutton on the Paramount Network show, last appearing in Part 1 of Season 5 in 2022.

Yellowstone” is currently airing the second half of Season 5, which was announced as the final season of the hit ranch drama.  But not so fast.  Co-star Ian Bohen, who plays the ranch worker Ryan, told The Post,

Yellowstone star Ian Bohen has compared Kevin Costner’s departure from the hit show to a football team losing its quarterback. The 48-year-old Californian actor plays rancher Ryan in the Montana-set Western series.

During a scene when John’s daughter, Beth (Kelly Reilly), goes out to a bar, the molasses-paced episode even spends a long time lingering on Beth’s drink order. It felt like without Costner, the show was just killing time until it ran out the clock.
