HOUSTON - An alleged suspect has died, and a victim is in a hospital after a home invasion in southwest Houston that led to a shootout. The shooting was reported at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 9700 block of Leawood Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a man in the parking lot that had been shot at least one time.

Police described the suspected shooter as a Black man with yellow- or gold-tipped locks who is approximately 5-foot-8 and was wearing all-black clothing.

A 16-year-old girl was shot to death inside a car with three young men early Tuesday on a north Houston road, police said.
